Please remember to bring the following to your appointment:

  • Your referral letter from referring doctor
  • Medicare or Veterans Affairs card
  • Health insurance information
  • Copies of any relevant medical information/documentation
  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your appointment for registration and to fill in a Patient Registration Form.
    Alternatively you can download it, fill it out and bring it with you on the day.

Diagnostic Services – Advanced Testing

At LaserVein.Co we provide a specialist Vascular Diagnostic Service providing advanced testing for venous conditions.

We provide comprehensive, non-invasive testing for outpatients to assess their veins. Venous ultrasound is used to assist doctors in providing a suitable treatment plan where necessary.

All patients must be referred either by a General Practitioner or a Specialist. A report with an accompanying worksheet will be generated and sent to the referring doctor.

If a serious condition is discovered during testing, our Senior Vascular Technician will immediately consult with Mr. Milne to take the appropriate course of action. For any questions please call 03 9509 9055.

Who will be doing my tests? 

Your tests will be performed by one of our experienced Sonographers who is specifically trained to perform vascular examinations.

Interim results will be provided immediately after the examination. A treatment plan will then be discussed with our Specialist Vascular Nurse and our experienced administration team will also provide you with an estimate.

If you decide to go ahead with treatment a consultation with Mr. Peter Milne will be arranged. This initial consultation with the surgeon will cost $200 with a medicare rebate of $72.75. Following this, an appropriate treatment date will be scheduled.

What costs are involved?

Ultrasound single leg –
Fee: $395.00      Rebate: $114.35

Ultrasound both legs –
Fee: $632.00      Rebate: $211.00

Sclerotherapy –
(Injections of veins, if wanting treatment):
Fee: $600.00     Rebate: $93.35

Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy –
(Treatment under ultrasound):
Fee: $1000      Rebate: $197.00
***Scans of leg veins on the day are addition to this – therefore quote per patient)
