Fees and Billing
In most instances part of your consultation and surgical fee will not be covered by Medicare and your health fund. Our staff are fully informed regarding charges and rebates and will help you navigate this area — please ask about any gap.
Acceptable means of payment
Fees for surgical procedures are reviewed with you following your consultation and a written estimate is provided.
Payment at the time of consultation is appreciated. Bank cheque, personal cheque, cash or credit card (MasterCard, VISA & AMEX) are accepted.
Do I need private health insurance?
If you need surgery, private health insurance is recommended.
You do not need private health insurance for outpatient treatment — sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy or laser.
Medical fees / surgery out-of-pocket costs
Our practice does not bulk bill and you will be required to pay a gap for consultations and surgery. Even with private health insurance, you may still be out of pocket.
Quotes are provided prior to your procedure. Please note that charges for ultrasound, anaesthetic and assistant services are additional to Mr Milne’s costs.
